 Duelling Arena
« Thread Started on Feb 24, 2007, 10:00pm »

This sandy area of the Courtyard has been set aside so that those who wish to practise their skills with the sword or in hand-to-hand fighting may do so. Fairly open so that others many watch you to pass the time if they so wish, you are free to just practise on your own, or you and a friend may come here to duel one another.

Barrels of water are intersperced around the edge of the arena, so that a thirsty trainer may refresh themselves after a work-out.

Alatariel stormed into the arena in a whirlwind of fury, tossing her locks like a stamping horse and snarling at anyone who dared get in her way. After having been initially shaken at Arikain's perculiar actions, and even having felt a curious twist of hurt at his rejection of her attempt at offering so freely to him a side to herself that, until she had been so overcome by the extraodinary heat the Knight had produced, she had kept locked tightly away, she had soon replaced these feelings with unadultered fury.

The sheer heat of her rage was a force to be reckoned with, and the other residents of the castle, she was sure, would not appreciate her proceeding actions - but on a personal level, Tari felt that venting her frustration in this way was far, far easier for her to deal with than having to mull over and fret about Arikain.

Hurling a barrel of water over so that the liquid smashed against the ground, swelling up in a burst of white froth and then dying down, sinking broodingly into the groun, Tari grabbed a broadsword from a stack of weapons provided for those intending to duel. The grounds were empty, but with a paranormal strength that far surpassed her own, driven purely by adrenaline, the Lady swung the heavy metal around with a truly wild ferocity, snarling maliciously and heaving the sword to smash repeatedly into the ground.

Furious with Arikain, but also with herself for being so vunerable, the Lady could do nothing for the meanwhile but vent her anger in this unproductive fashion.
