At the far end of the Grounds, separating the castle grounds from the army barracks, lies a large un-kept patch of woodland. Here, untamed by any of the castle gardeners, all things wild are in their prime. There are no proper paths through the waist-high vegeatation, save a few rabbit trails. In this particular part of the wood lies the ruins of what used to used as a watch tower.
As not many people visit here (Or if they do, it is hardly likely you will see or hear of them through the thick mass of sprawling vegetation) this is the perfect place to come if it is solitude that you seek.
Louise had wandered through the grounds for no particluar reason. The gardens were all beautifully kept, but she preferred the wild unkept woodland, which she had been walking through for the past hour. Quite by chance, she stumbled across the ruins, and dropping her bags on the ground, walked over to them, lifting her chin upwards as she did so to where the sun shone fully above the stonework and was not filtered to soft green light by the trees. She put one foot onto a jutting out piece of brick work, then pushed upwards and stood up straight holding onto the bricks above tightly. She looked down and lifted the next foot up until it too found a foot hold, this time as she pushed up, the brick pulled away and Louise tumbled a short way to the ground. She pulled herself to a sitting up position, her dress bunched around her thighs and her legs grazed and scratched. A few leaves drifted down from a nearby tree and Louise hit the ground with her fists, sending small clouds of brick dust around her.
Then she burst into tears.
She didn't cry because she was hurt, she cried because she couldn't reach where she wanted to go. She cried for her mother and sister. She cried for her father, she cried because she hated him, and because she missed him. She didn't cry because she missed home, she cried because she was all alone in the City. And most of all she cried because she was crying, and she hated crying and the hollow feeling and weakness that associate with it. She hugged her knees and buried her face into her hair, sobbing quietly until she felt physically sick. Soon her sides stopped heaving, the tears dried on her cheeks and she was sleeping softly on the woodland floor.

Robin charged through the trees, sword in one hand and a bag of carrots in the other. He had just been shopping. "Yargh!" he yelled, sending his sword flying across the woodland and fixing itself firmly into a tree trunk. "Not bad!" he told himself, and started over to collect it.
Once retrieved he set about sparring with imaginary enemies, yelling curses as though they really existed. Reality faded and soon, without realising, he had left the trees and was moving freely in the air, dodging imaginary missiles and blades.
It wasn't until he tripped that he realised where he was. He lay on his back at the bottom of what seemed to be a ruined tower. He smiled, breathing heavily, before he began to wonder what he had tripped over.
He pulled himself up and sheathed his blade [his carrots were long gone] and noticed the form of a sleeping girl on the floor. "Louise?" He questioned, gently rolling her over, and sweeping her hair from her face. He smiled as he realised taht it was her, but frowned as he noticed the tear tracks that lay upon her cheeks. Carefully he lifted her up and moved her to a more sheltered spot, away from the tower.
Why be difficult when with a bit of effort you can be impossible.

Louise stirred when she felt the hard forest ground lift away from her back and the odd sensation of floating replace it. She didn't open her eyes, but she slipped from dreaming into that semi-consciousness between slumber and waking. She gradually became aware of someone else's hands, but she had forgotten where she was and so confusion quickly set in.
"What...where?" she murmured, opening her eyes slowly to see the blurred canopy of green above her. She lifted a mud streaked hand to rub her eyes and her surroundings came into view, including the concerned face of Robin sitting beside her.
"Robin?" she said, not really needing to confirm who it was. She flushed pink, remembering the situation in which she had ended up sleeping on the floor but then remembered that Robin didn't know why she was here either and she instantly felt less embarrassed.
"What are you doing here?" she asked, knowing full well that the same question was probably on his lips.

Robin allowed his features to twist into a smile as he remembered hi fight with imaginary enemies. "Well i went shopping....and i took a shortcut...but got distracted and was..." he stumbled for the right words "practicing my sword techniques. Actually what happened to my carrots?!"
He was soon on his hands and knees, scrambling throught the dusty floor of the copse searching for his shopping. It was no use though, they had been lost back when he first entered the forest. "So," he sighed, resting his hands behind his head and laying on the ground. "What are YOU doing here?" He hoped the question wasn't too upsetting for Louise and so decided to add "If you want to tell me of course" She seemed quieter and a little less...bossy than usual.
Before she could answer his question he remembered why he had been looking for her over the last few days and blurted loudly, "Louise i joined the army! And i met this pirate captain right, and we went on this trip to the sea and i was involved in an epic battle and Finn said i helped them win and then we met mermaids and one gave me this pink shell and then i was looking for you but couldnt find you" he breathed in quickly, causing himself to cough.
