Factions

These are the different philosophies of life that your character may wish to follow. Of course, you may not wish to join any of them - you may be a human fighting against the elves, but not want to join with the Outlaws, for example - but these listings are here so that you may easily refer to information about the various options open to you here.

Army recruit
The army is headed by Lord Nathaniel and is a formidable force. The army is split into four distinct orders, each with their advantages. these orders are: lioness, eagle, dragon and stallion (swordsmen, archers, dragon riders and cavalry) For more information on the army click here.

Navy recruit
The Navy is also a formidable force, and governed by Captain Lance Verdier from the Port in the Lady's town of Alassea. For more information on what joining the Navy entails, click here.

Pirate
To become a pirate you must first have reached *level two* in the navy, for more information on this click here. Pirates rebel against the system and, like the outlaws, live outside of the law; both are radicals for their time. The average pirate spends most of their time in Alassea, drinking, gambling and theatrically expressing their undying passions for the mighty ocean.

Mage/Magician
Joining the mages is to join another formidable force. Ruled by neither the Lady or the Lord in the town of Tirenna tucked away in the woodland, its not surprising many are wary of the magicians there. here you have the option to progress through three levels to become either a witch/wizard, enchanter/enchantress or sorcerer/sorceress. Click here for more information.

Scholar
First of all we would like to make clear that just because your character is a scholar, this does not mean that they are at all dull or introverted. It simply means that your character has a passion for knowledge and wisdom, and an insatiable curiosity to discover all they can about the world that they live in. The scholars reside in the Garnet towers at the fort in Alassea. To find out more about scholars, click here.

Priest/priestess
The idea behind the organisation that is the Abbey is that it provides a place for those who genuinely wish to help people and to devote themselves to The Almighty. However, it is not unknown for a character to join the abbey simply because it provides them with an easier way of living. To visit the abbey in Lithonion, click here.

You may wish to create a character who is already a member of one of the following factions. You may also join these factions at a later date, but this is just an idea to bear in mind.

Gypsy
Gypsies reside at the Court Of Miracles in the Woodland north of Lithonian, in a wide open clearing full of colourful caravans and music. The gypsies are primarily made up of women, although men are allowed to join if they first seek permission from Mirima, the Gypsy Mistress. They tend to keep themselves to themselves, all of them being human and thus shunned from society, and almost all members of the group refuse to take any stand against the elves who oppress them, preferring to live their lives in peace. Hence they dislike the Outlaws, feeling that they draw too much attention to themselves.

Rebels Outlaws aka: 'Crusaders'
Outlaws are much like the gypsies in that they also reside in a camp known as the retreat in the forest, although their camp is dirtier, less full of joy and music, and packed with preparations for fighting. They are primarily made up of men, although women may join if they first seek permission from the leader of the Outlaws, Farusan. This group are the humans who make a deliberate effort to oppose the elves and fight against them.

Your character obviously does not have to be/become one of the above, as they are your character and you can decide exactly what they are like. You may in some cases me more than two of the above, for example, you can be a scholar and in the army but obviously you cannot be a pirate and fight in the army, or a priest and a pirate. Just use your common sense as to what would be feasible and if you're not sure send me a PM.

Each character may join only one of the following: the Army OR the Navy OR the Mages guild.

Obviously you are not limited to these options; you may wish to be a bard, a thief, a shopkeeper, a fisherman, a merchant, or specialise in a profession such as a blacksmith, a tailor, a butcher, or the like, or absolutely anything you can think of (Well. Within reason).
